Mountain peaks and the dead of winter are where The North Face finds its home. Our work for the Winter 2017 and 2018 seasons reflects the brand’s relationship with unrelenting environments and the human instinct to seek beauty and challenge in them.
For 2017, bold typography and stunning imagery from photographers like Jimmy Chin and Tim Kemple captured the dynamic nature of frozen worlds. Product photography highlighted the materials and technology designed to ward off the elements and inspire confidence for all the explorations yet to come.
The following year, we worked with The North Face athletes—including Conrad Anker, Jimmy Chin, Savannah Cummins, Alex Honnold, Anna Pfaff, and Cedar Wright—to tell the story of an expedition to the bottom of the world. Three weeks in Antarctica yielded breathtaking imagery and stories of a fragile, changing ecosystem. The vast landscapes and bright climbers contrasted against deep blue ice, brought together with bold type and sharp product photography, bridged the gap between these hard-wearing products and the world in which they thrive.
Together, the two seasons speak to endurance, exploration, and the beauty found in even the harshest conditions.

The North Face
Winter Catalogs
The North Face excelled at storytelling but lacked a structure to blend editorial depth with product focus across media. With vast raw content but no cohesive framework, they needed a system to create rich, engaging experiences.
From 2015-2019, we partnered with their brand team to develop a flexible approach for catalogs and seasonal campaigns. By curating athlete narratives and pairing them with sharp product art direction, we created a repeatable system that separated editorial immersion from technical details. This scalable framework enabled The North Face to tell broader stories while maintaining clear product communication across printed touchpoints.
