For over 20 years, our best ideas have come not from design itself, but from the world around it, our collections, obsessions, and cultural fascinations. Brutalist monuments. Science fiction. Muppets. Gravel racing. Japanese toys. Ancient ruins. On the surface, these have little in common, but taken together they form something larger: the curiosities that shape how we work. Hybrid: Curiosity in All Things turns that philosophy into a book. It's not just a studio retrospective. It's a look at how inspiration and execution are inseparable. Client projects sit beside personal essays, artifacts, and collections, grouped by the ideas that influenced them.
This multiple year long process was a labor of love, from design to writing to production oversight, the process was intentionally experimental: multiple paper stocks, six bookmarks, two randomly assigned cover colorways, and marbled edges that hint at the vibrancy held inside. The goal was to make something that feels alive, a reminder that curiosity isn't a side effect of design, it's the heart of it.

Every obsession, every collection, and every side quest we've ever taken has led to the release of this book. We're thrilled to share 20+ years of nerdy inspiration and craft-filled design that has fueled the studio from the start.
